Chicago Blackhawks forward Brandon Saad, who sustained an upper-body injury on Sunday night, will not travel to Philadelphia for Tuesday’s game there.
Saad suffered an upper-body injury during the Blackhawks’ 4-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday. His last shift came with fewer than eight minutes remaining in the second period.
Coach Joel Quenneville said after the game that Saad “seemed all right. I don’t think it’s too serious but we’ll have a better idea (on Monday).”
The Blackhawks play Philadelphia on Tuesday before hosting the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday night.
