Duncan Keith was named as NHL's Third Star of the Week on Monday — following Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin and Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall, respectively — after recording six assists in four road games.
While on the Circus Trip, Keith opened the week with two assists in the Blackhawks' 5-1 victory against the Edmonton Oilers. He also tallied one helper in the each of the two following games against the Flames and Stars and ended the week with two more in Saturday's game against the Coyotes, which extended the Blackhawks' winning streak to six games.
Keith is the second Blackhawk this season to be honored. Patrick Sharp was named Third Star after the conclusion off the Nov. 10 week.
