It's been nearly two weeks since the Blackhawks acquired Kris Versteeg from the Florida Panthers in exchange for Jimmy Hayes and Dylan Olsen.

During their time within the Blackhawks' organization, Hayes and Olsen both played stints in the NHL, but neither were able to crack a more permanent spot on Chicago's roster.

Now, they're both getting that chance in Florida.

Hayes has recorded a goal and a plus-2 rating with the Panthers in the four games he's played since Nov. 16.

He will soon be joined by his longtime teammate as the Panthers recalled Olsen from their AHL affiliate in San Antonio on Sunday.

The 22-year-old defenseman recorded eight assists in 16 games with the AHL's Rockford IceHogs prior to the trade and has since recorded a goal in three games with San Antonio.
