And now Matt Carle, Ben Bishop and the Tampa Bay Lightning join the elite list of NHL teams to score on, well, themselves.
Thursday's matchup between the Blackhawks and Lightning had a number of highlight-reel goals. It also had a number of what-in-the-world-just-happened goals.
This was one of them.
The goal — which wound up getting credited to Jonathan Toews — tied the game and sent the matchup into overtime. But a goal from Martin St. Louis won the game for Tampa Bay with a final score of 6-5.
