A new streak is on the horizon for someone when the Blackhawks host the Oilers on Thursday.
Patrick Kane's 26-game point streak came to an end Tuesday, while the Oilers just had their six-game winning streak snapped.
The Oilers haven't made the playoffs since 2006, but things are going better for them of late.

"Edmonton's been playing very well. They've got so much young talent, you always wonder why they're not able to do this more often," CSNChicago.com Blackhawks Insider Tracey Myers said. "They're making things a little more fun up there now."
