Honda Road Ahead: Blackhawks surviving without Duncan Keith

CSN's Luke Stuckmeyer and Tracey Myers preview the Blackhawks' brief two-game road trip in the Blackhawks Road Ahead, presented by Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana Honda dealers.

The Blackhawks were dealt a massive blow last week when reigning Norris Trophy winner Duncan Keith was placed on long-term injured reserve with a meniscus tear in his right knee.

Despite playing without arguably the best defenseman in the NHL, the Blackhawks have responded by winning three straight games, including shutouts over the Tampa Bay Lightning and Anaheim Ducks.

After a brief two-day rest, the Blackhawks will hit the road to take on the Winnipeg Jets and Minnesota Wild in back-to-back games on Thursday and Friday night.

Both of those teams have given the Blackhawks regular-season trouble over the last few years.

"They [the Jets] went through some personnel changes, and I think some of them were good," CSNChicago.com Blackhawks Insider Tracey Myers said. "I'm very curious to see how they do this year. They've given the Blackhawks a bit of a tougher team as we've gone along here. I expect that again."
