Marian Hossa will stay home and skate but Niklas Hjalmarsson will travel and play when the Chicago Blackhawks take on the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday.

Hossa, who's been sidelined with an upper-body injury sustained in the Stadium Series game, will skate here while the team travels, coach Joel Quenneville said following Tuesday's practice. As for when Hossa will play again, Quenneville said the Blackhawks will get a better idea once Hossa skates.

Hjalmarsson did not practice after blocking several shots, and looking to be in some pain afterward, in the Blackhawks' 2-1 victory over Buffalo on Sunday night. But Quenneville said Hjalmarsson is "fine," and will play against the Avalanche.

Antti Raanta will get the start for the Blackhawks. It will be Raanta's first start since Jan. 28 against Calgary; he was pulled in that game after allowing four goals.
