Marian Hossa appeared to be leading Team Slovakia to a shocking comeback, but in the end it was Michal Rozsival who was the Blackhawk moving on to play Team U.S.A.

The Czech Republic defeated Slovakia, 5-3, in one of Tuesday's four qualification games in Sochi, with Hossa scoring a pair of goals in a losing effort.

The Czechs went up in a hurry, scoring the game's first four goals to jump out to a seemingly easy lead. But Hossa scored one in the second period and another in the third to make it interesting, and a goal from Tomas Surovy made it a 4-3 game. But the Slovakians couldn't complete the comeback, and an empty-net goal in the final minute all but clinched the win for the Czechs.

So it's the Czech Republic moving on to play the United States in the quarterfinal game Wednesday at 11 a.m. CT. That game will pit Blackhawks teammates Patrick Kane and Michal Rozsival against one another.
