The 2013-14 Blackhawks apparently don't like it when they're not winning.

Alex Ovechkin had just tied the game at 1, firing one past Corey Crawford in the first period of Tuesday night's battle, but just 24 seconds later Patrick Kane smoked one by Capitals goalie Braden Holtby to put the Hawks back in front, 2-1.

Kane is looking for another big year after winning the Conn Smythe trophy in last year's Stanley Cup run.

Jonathan Toews picked up an assist on the goal.
