Patrick Kane's playoff mullet has returned! The Blackhawks winger called his barber after the team learned they had reached the playoffs and got the haircut (complete with racing stripes).
Kane also had the 'do during the Blackhawks' Stanley Cup-winning run last season, when he decided to go with the mullet instead of his "embarrassing" playoff beard from the previous spring.
"Short on top, kind of like a regular hair cut, and then the long hair in the back. Kinda bring back the '80's look, I guess," Kane told reporters prior to the 2010 postseason. "They were saying 'business in the front, party in the back.' Those were the comments I got about it. Just flowin' in the back, with a little more room up top. I'll kinda look a little trashy for a little bit, but it's fun and the boys all got a good laugh out of it. So that's what it's all about I guess."
In 22 mulleted games during the 2010 postseason, Kane registered 10 goals and 18 assists. For his playoff career, he has 19 goals and 23 assists in 38 games.
Kane is coming off a regular season in which he posted 27 goals and 46 assists in 73 contests. He was an All-Star selection for the second time in his four-year career.
