NHL ready for lengthy Stadium Series build at Soldier Field

The NHL announced on Wednesday that its Ice Truck will arrive at Soldier Field on Tuesday, Feb. 18 to begin building the outdoor rink for the upcoming Stadium Series game between the Blackhawks and Penguins.

With less than two weeks to go until the first-ever professional hockey game at Soldier Field, the 53-foot-trailer will arrive in Chicago and begin construction immediately for the March 1 game.

Tickets to the outdoor game sold out within 24 hours of going on sale, and are now being offered on secondary sites at triple face value, averaging $303 per seat.

The game will begin at 7:00 and will be aired on NBC.
