A report Thursday morning stated that Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville went to the emergency room with internal bleeding on Tuesday night.

According to a report from CBS Chicago, Versus Sports Network analyst Kelly Chase talked to Quenneville, who was in "great spirits" after suffering "a little bit of internal bleeding that couldn't stop."

Kelly said Quenneville was "light-hearted. He said, 'Hey, I'm going to be in the next game.' "

Quenneville was admitted to the hospital and was in stable condition as of Wednesday morning. The Blackhawks released a statement Wednesday morning that Quenneville was being treated "undisclosed health concern" that was "not of a cardiac nature." An update was not immediately available.

Assistant coach Mike Haviland was acting head coach Wednesday night in the Blackhawks' 3-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild.
