Brent Seabrook sustained a lower-body injury in the second period and did not return to the Blackhawks' Sunday night game against the Edmonton Oilers.

Seabrook looked like he lost an edge and then went awkwardly into the boards. Seabrook was slow to get up but did, going to the locker room under his own power. It appeared as if he was putting most of the weight on his right leg as he left the ice.

The Blackhawks are listing Seabrook as day-to-day, but coach Joel Quenneville said they'll know more Monday morning.

We missed (Duncan Keith) there for three games and it was obviously a void with all the quality ice time in all situations, Quenneville said. We did a good job without him this half of the game, but it may present a challenge moving forward.

Seabrook has a goal and six assists in 17 games with the Blackhawks so far this season.
CSNChicago.com will provide an update when more details are available Monday.
