Brandon Saad was getting it from all sides, his teammates goading him into joining.
“C’mon, kid, everybody’s doing it.”
So finally, he’s in.
Yes, count Saad as the latest of the Chicago Blackhawks to join Twitter (@BSaad20). The 21-year-old forward joined Twitter three days ago after bowing to his teammates’ requests.
Hey Blackhawks fans you can thank @shawz15er for hounding me into the twitter- let's give it a whirl— Brandon Saad (@BSaad20) November 16, 2013
“I was thinking about (joining), but (Bryan Bickell, Andrew Shaw and Nick Leddy), they talked me into it,” said Saad, who’s sent three tweets but, not surprisingly, has more than 22,000 followers as of Tuesday afternoon.
Bickell said he was just fulfilling the fans’ request.
“A lot have been bugging me, ‘Get Saad on Twitter,’ and he got peer pressured into it,” Bickell said.
Saad’s best tweet may be his “verification” one of him holding up the trademark blue checkmark.

“I actually don’t know (whose idea that was). I think he did a selfie,” Bickell said. “I think it was his idea and it was pretty funny.”
