Why winning Olympic gold is ultimate accomplishment

With the Olympics almost a week into competition, the medal counts are starting to grow for each country. As of Wednesday night, Norway leads the medal count with 12, including four gold, while Germany leads the gold medal race with six already, thanks to early domination in the luge.

But with hockey just getting going, the big debate has suddenly become: Would you rather win a gold medal or the Stanley Cup?

CSN's David Kaplan and Ryan McGuffey debated the issue, and Kaplan couldn't help but side with the medal because of how it encompasses the entire nation instead of a specific city or region. McGuffey brought back memories of last year's Stanley Cup win by the Blackhawks and what it did to the city of Chicago.
