Veteran forward Lou Amundson is likely to be at the Bulls' shootaround Saturday morning, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

Various outlets previously reported that Amundson, 30, will sign a 10-day contract with the Bulls.

An energy player who has played for six teams over seven NBA seasons, Amundson arrived in Chicago on Friday and worked out at the Berto Center.

After the sprained left MCL injury suffered by top reserve Taj Gibson in Sunday's loss to Oklahoma City, which is expected to sideline him for up to two weeks, the Bulls are in need of additional big-man depth.

Amundson played for Minnesota this season and averaged 1.6 points and 2.4 rebounds in 20 games after signing with the Timberwolves last summer before being waived Feb. 8.
