Peyton Mannings arrival in Denver has created some obvious major buzz around the Broncos. Not all of it is good, however.
The Broncos went to the playoffs last season with Tim Tebow. Logically then, with a better quarter, they should be even better, right? Right?
I think immediately they are the favorite to win that division, said former NFL lineman Ross Tucker on NBC Sports Talk on Monday.
Lets feather the breaks here. Please.
There is some question in at least one camp about whether the whole thing will really work in Denver.
Its easy to go from complicated to simple, said former Tampa Bay quarterback Shaun King. Its hard to go from simple to complicated.
Mike Florio over at ProFootballTalk.com checked in with the assurance that Tebow will be traded. Manning was the one guy who would bring such a Rocky Mountain high that John Elway and the Broncos could usher Tebow out of town without an uprising.
One scenario could have Tebow looming on the Bears 2012 schedule, not necessarily a welcome thought after Tebow brought the Broncos back for an overtime win over the Bears last season (with two assists from brain malfunctions by running back Marion Barber.
Id say the Jaguars and the Dolphins should be at the head of the line, Florio said.
The Jags are a Bears road trip this season.
