The Bears finished their round of initial interviews with five candidates for the job of general manager and now are bringing two finalists in for second interviews, a source with knowledge of the situation told CSNChicago.com.

Kansas City Chiefs college scouting director Phil Emery is expected to be one of the finalists as is New England's Jason Licht.

A final decision had not been made as of late Monday afternoon and no formal offer had been made, according to the Bears. The winnowing process has begun, however.

Comcast SportsNets Kip Lewis reported sources telling him that Jimmy Raye, one of the five candidates interviewed last week, was informed that he was no longer a candidate.

Earlier Monday one NFL source told CSNChicago.com that Emery and current Bears player personnel director Tim Ruskell were considered 1-2 after the first interviews.

Tune in to SportsNet Central at 6:30 Monday for a discussion between Moon and Kip Lewis regarding reports surrounding the team's GM search.
