Evan Rodriguez has gotten himself into a bit of trouble.
As reported by Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, the Bears tight end was arrested in Miami at 11:35 p.m. on Wednesday "[a]fter impeding a DUI arrest and refusing to comply with police directives." It is unknown if Rodriguez was being arrested for a DUI. His actions with the police were non-violent.
The 2012 fourth-round draft pick has had run-ins with the law before, and was arrested twice during his two-year college careers at both West Virginia and Temple.
The Bears released a statement Thursday regarding Rodriguez:
“We are aware of the reports regarding Evan Rodriguez. We are currently gathering information to learn more about the circumstances surrounding the situation.”
