Last season the Bears brought in Michael Bush to take some of the load off Matt Forte and while Bush provided another dimension, the coaching staff never really got Forte enough touches, especially in the passing game. He averaged just over 19 touches total a game.  Forte averaged 4.4 yards per carry  with 5 rushing touchdowns and only 1 receiving score.

This new system is likely to take advantage of his skills in space, whether it's catching the ball downfield or on screen plays.  This staff has already said they plan to utilize all the skilled talent on the roster and Forte can be a big part of that.

As for Bush it wouldn't be surprising to see him still used in the short yardage situations, which has not been a strength of Forte.  Bush had a 3.6 yard average, but that in many ways is misleading because of the situations he carried the ball, almost exclusively in short yardage downs.

Forte has the ability to be one of the most dynamic threats on the Bears offense and how he's used is going to be just one of the many interesting things to watch, as the Bears enter their mini camps and then training camp in July.
