Minnesota GM Rick Spielman had the No. 3 overall pick up for bid for a couple of months, looking to add picks by trading down and still being in position to draft an elite-level player.

He got his wish when the Cleveland Browns gave Minnesota picks in the fourth, fifth and seventh rounds to swap places with the Vikings. And Spielman is still in position at No. 4 to take his franchise left tackle in USCs Matt Kalil to match against Julius Peppers; his shut-down corner in LSUs Morris Claiborne to deal with Brandon Marshall, Calvin Johnson and the Green Bay legion; or even deal down a little more and still snag a day one starter.

The three added picks are all third-day picks but they can produce impact. Defensive tackle Henry Melton was a fourth-round pick; wide receiver Johnny Knox was a 5; and offensive line starters JMarcus Webb and Lance Louis were 7s.

Think Spielman would take that haul for his late-round add picks?
