The Bears promoted Mike Tice to offensive coordinator early in the offseason, effectively ending Mike Martz' reign. But Tice may not hold the position for long.

The Raiders have reportedly requested permission from the Bears to speak to Tice regarding their vacant head coaching position.

Reggie McKenzie took over in Oakland and immediately fired coach Hue Jackson. He does not have specific ties to Tice, but the Bears coach was a head coach with the Vikings from 2001-05.

The Bears have to grant permission for Tice to interview, something they've had experience with already this offseason. On Monday, they blocked defensive backs coach Jon Hoke from interviewing with the Vikings for their defensive coordinator vacancy.

Tice is not the only one in the running for the Raiders gig. Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg, Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy and defensive coordinator Dennis Allen, Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin as well as Green Bay's defensive coordinator Dom Capers and linebackers coach Winston Moss and Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael Jr. are also expected to be interviewed.
