Mike Tices work with the Bears offensive line over the past two seasons and his contributions to successful in-season modifications of the offense have not gone unnoticed.

At least for the Bears sake now, they have not gone to Oakland.

Tice, elevated to offensive coordinator after the departure of Mike Martz, will not interview for the Raiders head-coaching position at Senior Bowl practices as previously scheduled.

The Raiders have begun their cycle of second interviews under new general manager Reggie McKenzie, hired away from the Green Bay Packers.

Tice now is expected to dial up the search process for a passing-game coordinator and likely a quarterbacks coach, although those two jobs could be combined under the right individual.
