At the time of year when the general population is thinking about and planning vacations, the Bears are going back to work.

Offseason conditioning and casual toss-the-ball-arounds move into drills and plays with coaches (no pads or contact) when the rookies convene May 11-13 for their minicamp. Camp is one practice a day, not open to the public.

Organized Team Activities (OTAs) for players under contract commence in later May through early June, several closed sessions per week.

Those are followed by the full veteran minicamp a week later, June 12-14, one closed practice each day at Halas Hall.

Then the Bears go dark until July in Bourbonnais, public definitely invited.
