Brad Biggs over at the Tribune is urging a tapping of the brakes on tackleguard James Brown from Troy as an addition for the Bears via the undrafted route. When an otherwise highly rated player, particularly an offensive lineman, slips not only down in the draft but also out of it altogether, there are usually reasons, unless 32 teams scouting and coaching staffs are blind.

Evaluation mistakes do happen. John Randle went undrafted and into the Hall of Fame, but 6-foot-1, 270 pound defensive tackles arent often hearing their names called on draft days, even in the game of a few years ago.
