Almost every athlete has a certain 'ritual' or habit that they must perform before each game. For some Blackhawks players it's called the 'hockey nap.'
Nobody has been able to trace back the original origins of the 'hockey nap,' but it's long been part of the hockey culture. For myself, having played ice hockey since I was five-years old, the nap was always part of my pregame routine. Well, that and watching the United States vs. Iceland shootout scene from D2: The Mighty Ducks.
