The Blackhawks have agreed to terms with 19-year old defenseman Adam Clendening on a three-year deal.

Clendening recorded four goals and 29 assists in 38 games with Boston University, where he lead among top Hockey East defensemen. Clendening became the only freshman to be named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team, and was awarded honorable mention in the race to become the Hockey East All-Star.

The Blackhawks originally selected him in the second round (36th overall) in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
