Dave Bolland will not make the quick trip to St. Louis and Corey Crawford will start when the Chicago Blackhawks play the Blues on Thursday night.
Bolland is still sidelined with an unspecified upper-body injury. Bolland has not skated yet, but coach Joel Quenneville is hoping he does soon.
“Hopefully he’s on the ice the next couple of days,” Quenneville said. “He’s improving every day.”

Crawford will be getting his second start since coming back from his upper-body injury. His first game back was a 28-save shutout victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday.
Steve Montador skated with the Blackhawks once again but is still not cleared to play and still not on the Blackhawks’ roster.
“He’s progressing. He’s skating with (Rostislav Olesz) when we’re not all practicing together, and he’s getting better.”
