The quest for Shane Doan isn't coming to an end just yet.
Fox Sports Arizona's Craig Morgan reports Doan's agent, Terry Bross, says the Coyotes' captain is setting a new deadline before making his decision on whether to stay in Phoenix or head to another city. Doan is awaiting a decision on the Coyotes' ongoing ownership situation.
"I would say if we don't have an answer by the 16th (of July) it may be time to get serious about listening to other teams' offers," Bross said Tuesday.
The highly-desired forward says he'd love to stay in Phoenix, but isn't interested in a one-year deal. The fact he's keeping the process alive shows that Doan is making the Coyotes his top priority.
