Kane gets special message after spin-o-rama

Patrick Kane said he heard from plenty of friends after his spin-o-rama assist on Marian Hossas goal on Tuesday night. But the biggest came from former Blackhawks great and current ambassador Denis Savard.

Kane wouldnt divulge what Savard said but it meant a lot to him.

It was definitely pretty special. Savys the one who created that move, he said. Sometimes you dont realize what the plays going to develop into. That highlights been in a lot of places.

When coach Joel Quenneville was asked if Savard ever put that spin-o-rama on him during his playing days, the former defenseman said, he might have tried it.
