Duncan Keith scored a power-play goal early in the first period and Nick Leddy scored the game-winner 2:15 into overtime as the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Detroit Red Wings 2-1 on Sunday night. The Blackhawks move to 6-0-0, their best start in franchise history.

The Blackhawks got into penalty trouble in the second period, going on the kill four times. That included 43 seconds of a 5 on 3 against the Wings. The Blackhawks killed all six of them off. Still, the Red Wings were on the attack more in the second and early third periods, and it paid off. Damien Brunner's shot went off Keith and right to Johan Franzen, who shot it through Corey Crawford to tie it early in the third. But Crawford kept the Wings away for the rest of regulation before Leddy finished it off midway through overtime.
