Kane, Toews, Hossa headed to All-Star Game

Marian Hossa, Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane were named to the 2012 NHL All-Star roster as the Blackhawks prepared to host the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night.

It was good news for the three including Hossa, who is celebrating his 33rd birthday today. For Toews, this selection is always an honor.

Its good to have a couple of teammates going, Toews said. Youd like to have a few more guys, especially a guy like (Patrick Sharp). Every year you get to be a part of that select group across the league.

The Blackhawks will host a Minnesota team that has lost three out of four and pulled out a shootout victory over San Jose on Tuesday. Ray Emery gets the nod, as does Josh Harding for the Wild.

Meanwhile, Marcus Kruger had another good day of practice. Coach Joel Quenneville is still hoping he can be cleared for this weekend.
