Niklas Hjalmarsson didn’t skate this morning but he will play tonight when the Chicago Blackhawks host the St. Louis Blues at the United Center.
Patrick Kane, who missed Wednesday’s practice due to illness, will also play tonight. Michael Frolik, who took Marian Hossa’s place on the top line in Hossa’s absence, will now move to the left wing on the Blackhawks’ second line with Kane and Dave Bolland.
The Blackhawks will face a Blues team that looks a bit different than their last game on Feb. 28. The Blues acquired two defensemen in recent days, Jordan Leopold and Jay Bouwmeester, who the Blues hope will bolster their lineup and their playoff chances.
