VANCOUVER Its been a long three-plus weeks sitting on the sidelines for Patrick Sharp. Now, hes ready to get back in at a time the Chicago Blackhawks will definitely need him.

Sharp will play tonight and Corey Crawford will get the start as the Blackhawks play the Vancouver Canucks tonight at Rogers Arena. Its Sharps first game since Jan. 8, when he suffered a broken wrist against the Detroit Red Wings. And the winger said hes ready to go.

You have the rivalry and you want to be a part of the home stretch, Sharp said. Its a tough test but Im excited. In my mind, Im ready to go. Im 100 percent.

Coach Joel Quenneville said there will be no limitations on Sharp tonight. Sharp will be on that second line with Marian Hossa and the newly acquired Brendan Morrison.

Ive watched him play a lot of years; I know the type of player he is, Sharp said of Morrison. Hes had success for a long time. Hopefully we can develop some chemistry.

While Sharp is excited to get back on the ice, he'll still be dealing with pain -- and it might not be going away anytime soon. According to Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune, the broken bone in Sharp's left wrist may require surgery following the season to get back to 100 percent.
