Just because the Chicago Blackhawks have already beaten the San Jose Sharks twice already in the past two weeks, doesn't mean they are about to start skipping pregame practices. Quite the opposite, the Blackhawks' morning skate before their Friday night home tilt with the Sharks will be broadcast live on Comcast SportsNet, starting at 10:30 am.
Morning Skate Live will preview the Hawks' attempt to pull off a sweep of the season series against the Sharks, after taking the first two contests by a combined score of 9-4, powered by a perfect performance from their penalty kill unit (seven out of seven). The half hour program will be hosted by John Weideman and Troy Murray, and feature interviews with Hawks players and TV analyst--and newly-minted Hall of Famer--Ed Olczyk.
Olczyk, who was inducted into the United States Hockey Hall of Fame last October after a 16-year career that included five seasons in Chicago, will have that honor celebrated at the United Center Friday night prior to the 7:30 pm face off, which will also be shown on Comcast SportsNet. Additionally, there will be videos memorializing moments of Olczyk's career playing on the videoboard throughout the night.
Morning Skate Live will also be streamed live on chicagoblackhawks.com.
