The Chicago Wolves announced a three-year agreement to be the AHL affiliate of the NHL's St. Louis Blues Tuesday night, which will begin next fall.

Previously, the Wolves were affiliated with the Vancouver Canucks (2011-2013) and the Atlanta Thrashers (2001-2011). The club was founded in 1994 as part of the IHL and won the league's championship -- the Turner Cup -- in 1996 and 1998.

Vancouver ended its relationship with the Wolves earlier this year, citing a desire for greater control over its AHL affiliate.
