CHARLOTTEThe drought is finally over. Bulls small forward Luol Deng will make his debut NBA All-Star Game appearance.
In his eighth professional season, Deng is averaging 15.1 points per game and 6.9 rebounds per game, as well as shooting 37.1 percent from three-point range.
Despite missing seven games due to torn ligaments in his left wrist, Deng will join teammate Derrick Rose, voted an Eastern Conference starter last week, at the annual event, held Feb. 26 in Orlando.
Other reserves for the East team are Indianas Roy Hibbert, Bostons Paul Pierce, Philadelphias Andre Iguodala, Atlantas Joe Johnson, New Jerseys Deron Williams and Miamis Chris Bosh.
The Western Conferences reserves are Dallas Dirk Nowitzki, Oklahoma Citys Russell Westbrook, Memphis Marc Gasol, Phoenixs Steve Nash, Portlands LaMarcus Aldridge, San Antonios Tony Parker and Minnesotas Kevin Love.
