AUBURN HILLS, MICH.With 3:35 left in the Bulls 99-83 win over the Pistons, Derrick Rose was fouled by Detroit small forward Tayshaun Prince on a fast-break layup attempt. Rose hit his left elbow on the court and lay on the floor momentarily.

Bulls trainer Fred Tedeschi came out to assist the reigning league MVP, but he walked back to the bench under his own power during the TV timeout, then returned to the game to shoot his free throws. Afterwards, Rose was seen leaving the locker room with Tedeschi, his elbow heavily wrapped, as they went to have an x-ray.

Im good, Rose said afterwards, in the visiting locker room of the Palace at Auburn Hills. Just like any other time when you fall, youre definitely going to be sore, but thank God we dont play Thursday and I can rest.

"Hit it on the court. First, it felt good, until I went back to the bench and its kind of sore, throbbing a little bit, but Im all right, he continued, as he dressed gingerly. Something I can play through."

While Rose said its way too early to know if hed be available in the Bulls next game, Friday at Orlando, he claimed, As long as its not broken, Im good. Im moving. If it was broken, I wouldnt be moving at all. Id be yelling.

As for treatment, Rose said the plan is for him to probably use ice and electronic stimulation, to hopefully get the blood circulating, so that it recovers real quickly.

Although Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau said he hadnt been updated on Roses status when he conducted his postgame interview with the media, he said thats part of the NBA when asked about Princes foul.

Added Rose: They were just making a run and just like any other team, they put other players in, their guys were playing hard and thats just how it is sometimes at the end of games.

The Bulls are already down one point guard, backup C.J. Watson, who is sidelined with a left-elbow injury of his own. Third-stringer John Lucas III played well in limited minutes Wednesday.
