Chicago Bulls reserve guard C.J. Watson underwent an MRI late Monday confirming he won't need surgery. However that doesn't mean he's ready to hit the court. According to the Chicago Tribune, Watson planned to travel with the Bulls to Detroit Wednesday but he is now day-to-day and may not play at all this week. Watson suffered a sprained left elbow in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game which sidelined him Tuesday. Coach Tom Thibodeau told the Tribune that he needs to manage the pain and get the swelling down. He commented, "As soon as he's ready to go, he'll go. He's as tough as they come."On the bright side, the Tribune is also reporting that Richard Hamilton could play Wednesday when the Bulls visitDetroit. It won't be easy though. Hamilton told the Tribune, "I just don't know how I'm going to act. When I get to the arena, I'm sure it will be emotional."Hamilton played nine seasons and won a championship while with the Pistons. He was dealing with a sore groin, which has sidelined him for two straight games.
