Derrick Rose, who became the youngest player ever to win the MVP award last season, is ranked 30th on Business Week's Power 100 list for 2012.
The 23-year-old Bulls point guard just cracked the list last year when he was 99th but the 2011 MVP award paired with the league creating a salary-cap exemption named "The Derrick Rose Rule" pushed him closer to the top.
Rose inked a 94.8 million, five-year extension with the Bulls earlier this season and he currently has sponsorship deals with adidas, Powerade, Wilson and Force Factor.
Blackhawks forward Jonathan Toews also made the list (69th).
