The Cincinnati Bengals have officially announced that former Notre Dame Tight End, Tyler Eifert has signed his rookie contract.
Eifert was selected by the Bengals with the 21st overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, becoming the 64th Notre Dame football player to be drafted in the first round.
The 6 foot 6, 251 pound tight end started all 13 games for the Fighting Irish during the 2012 season, where they met Alabama in the National Championship game after an undefeated regular season.
During his senior season, Eifert had 50 receptions for 685 yards and four touchdowns, leading the Irish in receiving yards. Thirty-six of his 50 receptions resulted in either a first down or a touchdown.
He holds the school record for career receptions (140) as well as career receiving yards (1,840) by a tight end.
