Marian Hossa (upper body) could be on the ice for the Blackhawks’ next practice, but he’s “not likely” to play Monday against the Los Angeles Kings, coach Joel Quenneville said Friday.

Hossa was rammed into the boards by Colorado defenseman Ryan O’Byrne in the first period of the Blackhawks’ 5-2 victory over the Avalanche on Monday. Hossa left the game immediately and did not return, nor did he play Wednesday against the Anaheim Ducks. Quenneville reiterated that the injury is not long term.
Meanwhile, Patrick Sharp (shoulder) skated prior to the Blackhawks’ practice but is still some time away from returning. When asked if Sharp could be out another 1-2 weeks, Quenneville said “we’re probably somewhere in that frame.”
