MINNEAPOLIS -- Paul Konerko rolled his right ankle on the final play of Tuesdays 4-3 White Sox victory over the Minnesota Twins.

Konerko went to the ground to field Joe Mauers grounder and twisted his ankle as he spun to turn to the bag. He flipped the ball and closer Addison Reed made a bare-handed grab to record the final out.

Konerko didnt have any ice on his ankle after the game and said hes fine and could play through it. The White Sox first baseman didnt know if hed be in the lineup for Wednesdays finale, however.

It was a bullet, Konerko said. I knocked it down. I rolled my ankle. I just rolled my ankle trying to get it. Were all right. We are going to battle through it. I dont know what Im doing tomorrow but Ill be here. Ill be here with bells on.

White Sox manager Robin Ventura said the final play was strange but will take the end result. He also said the team will know more about Konerkos condition in the morning. The White Sox face the Twins at 12:10 p.m. on Wednesday.

Well find out tomorrow, Ventura said. But it did look a little odd. I wouldnt say it was textbook, but well take the out.
