Played well enough in first pro season to be promoted twice and finished season at High-A. His bat speed, strength and leverage give him above-average power. Uses solid speed to run the bases well. Has shown ability to grasp subtleties of game and projects as a middle-of-the lineup bat. Good arm strength and a hard worker.

Swing can get long, which can lead to a lot of strikeouts. He whiffed 56 times in 229 at-bats last season. Needs to improve pitch recognition.

On his handling of two promotions: “I was reading some articles the guys were saying when they moved me up they were just trying to give me a feel for the playoffs and stuff. But my mindset is not like that; if I get moved up I’m trying to produce and help the team out as much as I can. I’m trying to make a spark. I’m trying to be that dude that people are ‘All right, this dude needs to play.’ That’s just my mindset is to try to be the best no matter. Even if know there’s older guys, I’m trying to play at the same speed or play better than them. That’s just how I was raised.”
