The top 10 White Sox starts against Tampa Bay

On the day Kerry Wood retired, Jake Peavy was asked about Wood's 20-strikeout start against Houston in 1998. He responded by saying Wood's start was, from a pure dominance standpoint, better than the perfect games thrown by Mark Buehrle and Philip Humber.

Peavy wasn't in the wrong there -- Wood's start was, by game score, the most dominant nine-inning outing of the live ball era. Chris Sale's 15-strikeout start against Tampa Bay on Monday drew some comparisons to Wood's start, just from a rough standpoint. But it didn't beat Buehrle's perfect game on the list of best White Sox starts against the Devil Rays as ranked by game score:
