White Sox morning roundup

White Sox morning roundup

From the weekend:

We started looking ahead to a few storylines to follow this spring: Chris Sale's move to the rotation, Adam Dunn's offense and the battle for the last bench spot.

Baseball is better with the knuckleball. Using Tim Wakefield's retirement as a jumping off point, I looked back at former White Sox knuckler-thrower Charlie Haeger's career.

Speaking of former White Sox pitchers, Brandon McCarthy is in the best shape of his life. He broke the story to the perfect person.

Brian Anderson is trying to crack the majors as a pitcher, which is a pretty noble effort for someone who admitted he lost any interest in playing the outfield a few years ago.

Tim Laker offered up his thoughts on Dayan Viciedo, Alejandro De Aza and Tyler Flowers, via South Side Sox.

Chris Lamberti over at White Sox Observer passed along a bunch of awesome stats.

Some big news for my bloggers-in-arms to the north: four outstanding Twins bloggers have combined to found TwinsDaily.com, which should be your one-stop shop for all things Minnesota baseball.

And finally, happy President's Day to our White Sox fan Commander-in-Chief.
