Bollig trash talks Cubs in tweet

Blackhawks rookie Brandon Bollig quickly became a fan-favorite in Chicago for his willingness to drop the gloves and engage in fisticuffs on the ice. But Tuesday, he may have alienated a segment of his fans.

A native of St. Charles, Missouri, Bollig is a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. With his commitment to the Hawks over until next season, he is unwinding by attending Wrigley Field and made the following statement on twitter:

Headed to Wrigley tonight to watch my @Cardinals go yard on the little Cubbies. Almost feel bad for them. DefendingChamps Brandon Bollig (@Bollig87) April 24, 2012

He followed that up with the following:

On that note, I wonder how long it takes all of you Chicagoans to stop following me as I tweet about the Cards. Brandon Bollig (@Bollig87) April 24, 2012
