The Bulls released their preseason schedule, which includes a trip to Brazil, Thursday afternoon.
Their previously announced Oct. 12 game against Washington in Rio de Janeiro--the NBA's first-ever game in the South American country--is the third game on the slate, preceded by road games at Indiana and a neutral-site contest against the Grizzlies in St. Louis. The preseason opener against the Pacers is Oct. 5, the matchup with Memphis is Oct. 7 at the Scottrade Center and the Wizards game is Oct. 12 at Rio's HSBC Arena.
The Bulls' preseason home opener is Oct. 16against Detroit, followed by games against the Pacers and Milwaukee on Oct. 18 and 21, respectively, also at the United Center.
Another neutral-site affair, against Oklahoma City in Wichita, Kan., on Oct. 23, will be the final preseason game on the road. The Bulls will close out their exhibition slate with anOct. 25 game against Denver at the United Center.
The NBA announced Thursday that the league's regular-season schedule will be released next Tuesday, coinciding with a televised presentation at 5 p.m. Central on NBA TV.
According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the Bulls' regular-season opener will be where last season ended, in Miami, against the defending-champion Heat on Oct. 29. The New York Daily News reported that the Bulls will face the Nets, another playoff opponent from the spring, on Christmas Day in Brooklyn.
Tickets for all Bulls games go on sale Friday, Oct. 4.
