Bulls ousted by Heat in summer league play

Despite going undefeated before tournament play in the Las Vegas summer league, the No. 2 seeded the Bulls couldn't solve the Miami Heat, dropping Thursday's matchup, 68-62 at Cox Pavilion. 

Marquis Teague was one of the bright spots for the Bulls, leading the team with 21 points and going 9-for-10 from the free throw line.

After taking the summer league by storm, Andrew Goudelock had his second dismal shooting night in a row. The third-year guard went 2-for-14 from the field only scoring five points in the loss. 

Erik Murphy returned after breaking his nose against the Trail Blazers, scoring five points.

First-round selection Tony Snell finished with seven points (2-for-8) and pulled in 12 rebounds. 

Malcolm Thomas, who didn't play in Tuesday's victory against Portland, led Chicago with 13 rebounds and scored nine points.

The Bulls shot only 36.2% from the field and committed nine turnovers. 

Damion James and Travis Leslie led Miami with 13 points apiece.

Chicago plays their final game of the tournament Friday night at 7:00 p.m. against the Mavericks.
