Jerry Reinsdorf isn't quite used to the idea of receiving a lifetime achievement award, but he sure is honored.
The Bulls and White Sox chairman will be presented with the 2013 Sports Business Journal Lifetime Achievement Award on Wednesday night in New York at the sixth annual Sports Business Awards.
“It is a true honor to receive an award that previously was presented to such successful sports figures as Peter Ueberroth, Billie Jean King and Paul Tagliabue,” Reinsdorf said.

Reinsdorf is in his 33rd season as chairman of the White Sox and recently concluded his 29th as chairman of the Bulls.
“It does seem a bit strange to me to be receiving a lifetime achievement award. I’ll admit to being in the fourth quarter, but I’m still playing for triple overtime. The 100th anniversary of Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game will be in Chicago in 2033, and I’m planning on being there.”
